There are people right now that don’t have patience; that don’t believe in waiting. Makes me think about the prodigal son - he couldn’t wait on his inheritance from his father. He told his father – “Father give me my portion that falleth to me now”. He couldn’t wait for a will or wait for his father to pass, he wanted his stuff now. This made me think also about Abraham and Sarah, who also couldn’t wait on God. God had promised them a son, but they wouldn’t wait on God. They wanted to get ahead of God and got Ishmael by Hagar. This land and country is filled with people who don’t believe in waiting. You got young people that don’t believe in taking the time out to go to school or go to college. They want instant gratification - they want what they want right now. There is a message for us about waiting in the word of God.
